I'm so sorry about all of your bad luck but trust me I do know what you are going through. I too had a cheerleading related accident. I was tumbling at a pep rally and all of a sudden I slipped and I couldn't rotate around so I fell on the hard floor right on my knees. Well, it broke both of my femurs, I had to have surgery, and I was in a wheelchair for three months. Then came a walker, crutches, and finally a cane. I'm in therapy now and I'm walking without anything even though it took a very long time to get there. More than anyone I can sympathize with how it feels to sit out and have to watch the people on your team practice without you. My team went to two National Championships and won them both without me. It was one of the most difficult things that I had to go through; to watch them complete their routine so perfectly when I wanted to be out there myself. I was pretty upset but my teammates reminded me that I was still part of that team no matter what and that I earned the title just as much as them. So what I'm trying to say is no matter what your team's successes keep in mind that you earned them too from all the hard work and sacrifice that you put into that team. I know that there is a lot of pain involved but just keep at it. I know that it seems like a normal life is so far away and that you might get frustated but little by little you will get better. So, keep the faith. You'll be out there soon cheering with them. Best of luck.
