Sarah2 : that i'll teach me
Diary entry posted Wed 1:07am 5 March 2008
So today I had physio, When ever I have been before, its been a case of just sitting on a bed, with My PT manipulating my foot, or as last week, I had to stand bare foot on a wobble board then a squashy kinda football. so, trainers and jogging pants have been worn, but me being smug, (and of plans to go shopping into town after the appt.) wore a short skirt and footless teal colour tights, along with a chunky pair of black Ugg boots, thinking, this is cool, she has access to my foot still, and I will look smart in town after.
We have the usual chat of what i have been up to, she chuckles when i come out with "R.O.M" & "F.W.B" in my conversations. Im trying to explaining the pain i experience, and she gets me walking up and down, Im still smug, i have my short skirt on, make up, looking good! (LOL) and there is a fitty of a male PT assisting another man, almost wink at him as I walk past. but refrain.
My PT says, "lets try something different today!" and starts pumping a bed, then asks me to put my foot up on it, about 1/2 metre off the ground and lunge forward.. "OMG" IM WEARING A SKIRT!"
she crouches down opposite, eye level to seeing right up my skirt! poor woman, "That will serve you right Missy" I told myself, whilst fighting the burning in my cheeks. "What a day to chose to wear a skirt" i bleeted out!" and we both burst out laughing. Its ok she says, we are both girls. as to my horror I remember what underwear i have got on, POLKA DOTS which are clearly visable through my tights. Anyways, we finish off the rest of the session, Im desparatly trying to remeber everything she is telling me, But im so distracted now, all i can think is that this woman has seen my spotty underwear! "Im mentally slapping my forehead with my hand" - serves me right!
But on a good note, I walked around town for a couple of hours, and the pain although it was there, is not as bad as it was, I think that is because MY PT has said that it is just regular "i broke my leg, and now its healing pain", nothing to worry about, just soft tissue damage and knitting pain. have had the thumbs up for returning to the gym, on strict instrustions to stay away from the running machine just for now, but i got an ok for the cross trainer, (as long as i dont push myself past the pain threshold) so, its good bye to that wobberly belly, expanding thighs, and chubby cheeks (both types)
