You can help ME if you would please. I am only 6 weeks post surgery for a repair and reduction of trimalleolar fracture of right ankle. I have 8 screws and plate on the outside and 1 screw on the inside. My hardware is supposed to stay in according to the doctor, but after all the posted info here, I am concerned about it. What have you (& your doc) decided. Is the metal bothering you? And please tell me that it eventually gets better than what I am dealing with right now!! The swelling in the foot is so frightening.
