I am so relieved to have found this site. In the blink of an eye a tri-malleolar fracture also has changed my life. I had my accident on April 16, 2003, while going down a tricky step and its been aliving hell ever since. I had surgery on April 19th, have two pins, a very long plate with many screws and, also received a substantial bone graft. I too, am teetering on depression and anxiety attacks over this. Somehow I'm keeping them at bay barely, but, they are just below the surface. I cry every day, and also can not believed this has happened to me.
