Hi Mike, I know how you feel. I also ride a Harley and I am 44 yrs old and I shattered my Tibia and broke my Fibula. I wasn't on my bike when the accident happened i fell off a broken scaffold. I had my accident in February and spent 12 days in the Trauma unit and was non weight bearing and in a wheel chair for 3 months i shattered my ankle joint and they had to graft in a piece of cadaver bone to replace a portion of my tibia.I had 4 surgeries to repair the joint and my surgeons put in 2 plates and 24 pins. I had a lot of pain the first 10 weeks. Perkocet seemed to work the best for my pain. I will say the pain does get better after about 8 weeks but it seems like an eternity. I started Pt at home after about 6 weeks but it was only moving my foot up and down and in circular motions to regain range of motion and leg lifts to keep muscle tone in my leg. When i was ok'd to be weight bearing I was amazed at how hard it was to try to walk. after a couple of weeks of pt it got better. I eventually started to see progress and between the Pt and the use of a bone stimulator my bone began to heal rapidly. Hang in there the pain will get better! Try to do some leg lifts daily this will make it easier when you become weight bearing again. I wish you a speedy recovery. Brad
