I am in a small western country town with a small hospital. We are blessed with an OS who passes by tremendous offers of more $ and prestige to move to the bigger cities... he lives here for the rural atmosphere and the good place to raise his kids. The man is very patient centered and humble and is known over a wide area for his expertise and success. He took a chance on my broken places and did a closed reduction. He bent my foot into just the right angle and cast it there. I have a lot of cast claustrophobia but it is worth it to have avoided the surgery. When he saw the X-ray he was very happy... he said "I couldn't have done better with surgery." Here is a guy who passed by the much greater surgery fee to speed my healing.
