okay so i am at my first follow up appointment. i had to go in my wheelchair , but i was just happy to leave the confines of the house for a bit. getting to the car and out of the car had me sweating up a storm and burning calories like a marathon. i had to get x-rays and we waited what seem like hours in the hot examination room. once the doc came in he looked at my leg and decided to take the splint off and check out how i was healing. i had to lay down on the table and let them cut it off. it was painful because in some spots it was really tight. but he took it off. my leg was very hairy and i was shocked by the length of staples i counted around 30. and about 3 on the other side. and it was discolored and bruised. but the doc was really impressed so he said i could get my staples out. i kinda was feeling like i was gonna pass out though from the shock of it. not fun at all . i needed a wash cloth and to lie down. VERY embarrassing. but i survived the pain of getting the staples out and then came to . i picked a purple cast color. i was just happy by how light it felt. very uplifting to be going onto the next step.
