I didn't meant to imply that all breaks are alike, just that a lot of the issues that people deal with are similar. Certainly, breaking a major weight-bearing bone like a tibia or femur is more serious than the fibula. But it is sometimes implied that those with only broken fibulas are weenies for complaining about what they are going through. I did not want Lindsay or anyone else to feel put off by the comment from "Canadian too". But maybe that is just how I read between the lines, from my perspective.

This site is not entitled "www.myreallyawfullyseriousbrokenleg.com" but rather has a title that is more inclusive. And yes, after reading many diaries, I AM very thankful that I only broke my fibula. I almost fainted when I read the account of the woman who broke her femur while running in a charity race.

Sue

P.S. Lindsay, just for the record, I do think it takes a certain amount of finesse and skill to only break one of the bones in your leg... that's REAL talent! And I hope you're not put off by our petty squabbling.
