Haven't written in a while. Have been busy going to Pt, OS, Cardiologist. Lets see where shall I begin. Since I last posted I have been to the OS, January 19. I am now without the boot. Very happy about that. He gave me a lace up ankle brace to wear for at least a month. Because of the type of work I do, sales, I will wear thru the winter for extra ankle stability. He also said the ankle healed perfectly, (not totally healed for 6 months. No need for any more OS appointments. Of course I can call if any problems come up. Walked out of office with boot under one arm and crutch under the other.

Back to work 1/30/06, part time, full time 2/13/06. Ready to go back. I have been very bored thru out this ordeal. I wasn't able to drive for 8 weeks. My husband was happy I didn't spend much money. Couldn't go shopping. I started driving last Monday January 15. Had to take boot off and put on shoe for my first few days driving. It was a pain but worth it.

I am continuing PT. Now I am learing how to walk normal. I still walk like I have the boot on. Have to really pay attention to every step. Limping. I have been using crutch when I go out or later in the day. It gets sore if I walk to much. PT should help. We are now working on walking and strengthing calf and ankle. How am I going to go to work in one week? I still can't walk right. My husband made me order a cane. I did, and will put in the car and bring to my meetings once I'm back to work. Embarrasing!!! Is it??? After all I has a broken ankle.
