Yes, of course I lost $$$ in Vegas, but it was fun. Somehow I managed to walk on crutches , PWB with darth and not be run over, tripped over, or walked over by all the people and cars. Oh my god it was crowded. But we all has a blast. I have never been on a vacation with crutches. The airport people were nice. Of course I beeped at security and had to be wanded and patted down.
I discoved a weird problem while I was there. My cast was removed a few days before my trip so I had not walked much in darth. I noticed almost immediatly my thigh muscle, broken ankle side felt weak. My husband says it atrophy. Another issue for PT. I start Pt on 1/4/06. I hear its painful. I don't have much ROM in ankle now. It also still quite swollen, and a weird color, redish. Also, sleeping is still an issue. Ankle has to find a comfortable spot. Forget about sleeping on my back. My ankle sticking straight up does not work. Its very painful.
Things are much better. I can get around pretty good. Still no driving. I'm now trying to figure out how to get to PT. Back to work in about 4 weeks. Have taking a shower down pat. Whoever would have thought taking a shower would be such an accomplishment? All of us broken leggers would!!!!!!
