I've come close to doing that with other riders who don't know how to ride close together! But thankfully, have never tangled up with them!

Sorry to hear about your break! I gotta ask you.......why is your OS saying a year??? the average heal time is about 3 months.

I am at week 11, and I too had the rod and screws and I am now just starting to Fully bear weight.

My injury was a lot less Glamorous than yours.....I slipped down a flight of steps covered in ICE. Broke the Tib and Fib.
