I went to the dr on Monday but haven't had a chance to post what happened yet. My road rash and incisions on my right leg are looking really good and healing nicely. In a couple more months maybe I think the big scab might fall off. I didn't get the cast off of my left leg like I thought I was going to. He actually gave me and option....keep the cast or get a darth boot. At the time I wasn't sure so I just decided to keep the cast. Since then I've researched and I might ask about the boot at my next visit. At least the visits are every 2 weeks now instead of every week. It helps with finances. Speaking of finances....the hospital decided to consider me a charity case and b/c of that have waived all but 664.18 of my bill. WOOO HOOOO!! That takes a $63,000 debt off my shoulders. So anyway, back to the visit....he doesn't think my bones on my right leg are growing as fast as they could be and has given me some options to think about to correct this. Taking a screw out of my nail which will give the nail a small amount of movement that will aggrevate the bone and make it grow. Or I'll get to use a bone growth stimulator. I don't want anymore surgery but for the sake of walking again I guess it's necessary. I just want some really good news from the dr soon. I'm extremely glad that my monetary problems are working out, now I just need my body to hurry up and heal. Maybe if I get out in the sun this weekend it'll help. That's the plan anyway.
