if you're only getting occasional sparks of pain, you're doing pretty good! Those pains are normal. You might feel other aches and pains as you progress thru this. Follow your OS's instructions and don't push yourself any harder than he recommends. There are lots of stories on this site of people bending screws, and even rebreaking their legs trying to walk before they should have. Legs are different from other broken bones because of the weight they have to hold up when we stand on them. I'm at 7 1/2 weeks since my ankle break (Pilon Tib/Fib, 2 plates & 10 screws) and I'm able to stand w/ 45% of my body weight on the bad leg for 2 minutes. I'm not walking yet, but hopefully next week...

Good luck and happy healing!
