I had no surgery originally, they debated operating but decided as i'm young that it should be ok 6 weeks nwb in a cast. Evidently not! I asked if I could've done anything else to make things better ie more calcium but apparently not.

I'm in the boot for this week and tbh found the cast more comfortable... plus I was told to take the boot off at night and so sleeping barelegged is terrifying and v uncomfortable turning over!

Fingers crossed you get back to work! I'm part time self employed and have worked since 36hrs post injury, I did end up with sausage toes alot to begin with but it's fine for work now. Luckily I work sitting down and have a good family that can drive me around. Hubby works 7 days so can't help much transportation wise. Will you be able to work easily if they let you with the boot?
