I'm 9 months post spiral fibula break and for the most part 99% healed.
I started back at the gym 6 wks ago, with some walking and now running on the treadmill as well as weights etc.
My problem is when I start running, my second smallest toe has tingling in it. Obviously some nerve is being pinched. My big toe also has some pain, for example when I scrunch the toe it's a bit painful (this usually after running). Now, I don't run for long .. max 4-6 mins because I'm not sure if I'm doing more harm than good, and it's just to get a warm up for weights.
Ok - so I think I need better stretching exercises so anyone that can give tips for foot stretches?
But from a physiological view what is going on with the pinched nerve?
I did not have numbness ever during recovery or afterwards - even last fall I was back on my road bike and was doing some small sprint running with the dog on leash up the street and never had this issue so it's a new problem, I guess related to soft tissue recover.
thanks for some input!
