And after a few weeks the PT was weaning me off using it so I could strengthen the muscles in the leg and foot. Said it was vital to strengthen them so I would not reinjure.

Started no brace around the house - flat surfaces. Then no brace out and about - flat surfaces. Then none at all as my leg strengthened. I haven't worn it in several weeks.

5/5/12 Fell down three stairs, Broken Fibula, cast
5/15 ORIF (ankle not healing), cast
6/13 Began weight bearing (casted)
6/27 Cast off, lace-up ankle brace
7/10 Started PT
7/25 no brace
8/30 work
