Thanks, J.
I see so many people talking about PT and I feel a little left out--but I guess 12 weeks and starting isn't as bad as I thought. I am required to wear the boot 24/7 unless in the shower, and I can open it up while sitting and elevating, so I have had little opportunity to flex or wiggle anything, although I have been tempted to try some things out. I figure it would not be a good idea without DO orders. I suspect it has to do with stretching the achille's and plantar tendons and holding them in a neutral position, while I started weight bearing. The idea of a naked leg is a little daunting, but everyone has to do it sooner or later, as it is a reasonable expectation in the progression of things.
The idea of putting weight on my unprotected leg worries me, and being in the hallways at school without any armor is also worrisome, but I managed to do it for most of my professional life, I should think in terms that. The OS won't let me go back right now so I guess I need to trust the other professionals in my life that they can carry on...such a control freak, I am!
