My understanding is that after hardware removal there are holes left over where the screws were and sometimes where the bone kinda grew a little bit over the hardware.
So when they remove the plate, there is an indentation.
Apparently those holes sometimes ever fill again.
6/27/12 spiral fx fibula, dislocated ankle

8/29/12 FWBAT continue PT
