I think we've all been through some pain with the boot... Given time the boot won't be so bad... When I first got it the top guard didn't even fit right... There was an overhang cuz my foot was so swollen... I only got a compression sock for my other good foot at the hospital.. No sock for broken leg.. Just had bandages all around... Later I just wore my regular knee-high sock to hold the steri strips in place... it worked for me... Good luck!
