I would call my doctor's office and ask them. You don't want to run the risk of doing something negative to your leg. I personally am surprised that you weren't given any instructions re: bathing, walking, sleeping. But, take control of your own care and ask. I go into each visit with a list of questions and sometimes I feel like I have to tackle the doctor to ask them, but he always stops and talks with me when I pull out my list.
