Everyone's different, so you may not be like others on here who's pictures you are referring to. My swelling went down a lot around the 10 week mark..take a look at my pics. The last one is about 10 weeks post op and that's pretty much what it still looks like....it swells a bit more through out the day, but not nearly as bad as in the beginning. Hang in there. It does get better!

Lat Mal ankle fx w/syndo injury
4/13 ORIF, plate w/5 screws
4/16 cast NWB
5/17cast removed, boot NWB
6/04 boot removed, ankle brace FWB
6/06 syndo screw HWR, still FWB
6/13 lap cholecystectomy
6/24 back to work
