complication

Hey all,
My ankle is doing relatively well. I still have a lot of swelling, some pain, and other issues but I am walking. I walk with a limp, go down stairs one at a time, and can't raise onto my toes but I am walking. So here is my complication...I think.
I have not been able to lay on my back or side with my legs straight without pain. It isn't sharp but it is strong enough that I feel it immediately and I bend my knees. I got to thinking about the fact that I was never like this before my "magic carpet ride" down the stairs. I DID fall on my back with my feet straight out in front of me. My leg was a mess and they never checked my back. For months I was on pain management ranging from the "good stuff" to tylenol. I was always positioned with my legs elevated in bed, or a chair.

So my question and thought (yes, I know I need to see the doctor too) is that could it be possible that I also injured/fractured my back during that fall and THAT is why I limp, can't do stairs, and raise onto my toes??? as well as the pain of course. Could this actually have been missed due to the leg injury?

This isn't really a forum for backs I know but I don't want to worry family.,,.they have been through a lot as my care givers. Maybe someone on here has had back injuries along with their leg injury?
