Just got back from another follow-up with my OS today...I'm rather disappointed...
He told me I look awesome, that the fracture is healing beautifully (it looks fully healed to me, but what do I know..lol), and he says my ROM is awesome (he even said he usually recommends PT, but I just need to keep doing what I'm doing). And then he said I'll bring you back here in a month and NO WEIGHT BEARING. My response was "For the whole MONTH?!" and he said yep...
ARGH! Come on I want to put some weight on it...Well...He said he doesn't mind me placing my foot down for balance, he just doesn't want me to push off of it to walk...I was really hoping to be at least PWB. I want to ditch the crutches SO bad!
And I finally asked him about my cartilage and future implications, and I almost started crying in front of him, but I held in and I'm only thinking happy thoughts about my future from now on...those possibilities of arthritis and knee replacements are just that possibilities.
