YES! My Os told me it's normal to have the boot hurt. Not sure it hurt my bones....just pressed against my incision and caused some healing nerves to go crazy. I also hated sleeping with it! I learned that blowing a fan by my boot helped.
2/17 bimalleolar ankle fracture (fib/tib) not displaced
2/29 ORIF (2 plates and 7 screws) - soft cast for 2 weeks
3/15 removable boot NWB
4/12 WBAT - in boot
5/14 walking unaided
6/28 - Fibula plate removal
