Jorie-
I am just past an 8-week stint in a camwalker (Darth boot) for plantar fasciitis. I found the boot to be much more uncomfortable and cumbersome and certainly heavier than the fiber cast I had previously when I originally broke the foot. The only good thing about the boot was I was FWB. Others here swear by the boot, however.
I was in the boot 24/7 except to bathe and my podiatrist prescribed a night splint for sleeping--it dorsiflexed my foot while I slept.
Good luck with it.
