Be sure to request bulkhead seating on the plane. That will give you more leg room. Talk to your OS about taking aspirin before & during your flight to reduce the risk of DVT. (and ask about mixing them with your other pain meds)
Take therabands or some other device to help you exercise your ankle as allowed. The worst thing will be for you to sit with your leg immobile for such a long flight. Doing exercises will help keep you from stiffening up, as well as reducing your risk of DVT.
