I had several fracture blisters after my TP fracture and waited for 4 weeks in external fixators for them to heal. My OS never deroofed them. We just waited and waited for them to reasbsorb. eventually they said they looked okay enough. The one largest one that wasn't fully (self)drained by the time of my ORIF now looks like a pink spot, and the rest of the blistered skin is just a slightly darker shade of my skin color, like a blotchy spot. I was so miserable waiting for those things to heal because it felt like "wasted" healing time and added a whole month to my NWB time. the first few nurses asked me if I had gotten rug burn! rug burn on the front/side of your shin would be hard to do even if you were trying. I guess it's not that commonly seen so I'm glad to hear others' stories here. sorry I can't give you more detailed experience on their healing but I can imagine how you feel waiting for them to heal. I think the itching is also probably healing and pink skin also sounds good.
