I asked my dermatologist about a spot on my ankle (not broken, just injured) and she declined to work on them. I thought maybe I had dirt trapped under the skin, but she said it was a truma indicator and should clear up, but it is better to leave them alone. It's been ten months, still the size of a pencil eraser, even stings and itches on occasion. I just speak to it, tell it to behave and move on!
