hospital appointment today - no Achilles healing yet, back into plaster.
daves re-plastered.    1:55pm May 8 2012

I had my hospital appt today. I should've gone last week but had flu.
Theed good news us my fibula is almost healed. No problems at all.
My Achilles isn't.
Its taking it's time to knit together. There is little growth of new tendon. Once it gets going it'll be fine, or so the doctor assured me. It's just waiting to get it started that's the problem. i'm resigned to this being a slow process but i'm feeling frustrated as hell.
they have put me back in another full leg plaster of Paris cast, foot again set so my toes point to the floor to relax my tendon to allow it to grow.
i'm in it for 6 Weeks. They estimate the tendon will start growing in this time and knit together.
If it does I get a short cast to my knee. If not, they will reevaluate my treatment IE the possibility of an operation.
Hacked off!

2009/10 fractured right tib and fib, ruptured achilles left leg.
12.3.12 fractured fibula, ruptured Achilles tendon left leg again.. 16.3.12 full leg cast, toes pointing down. next appt. 30.4.12
