I was pw after 7 wks and allowed to fwb after 9wks, which i did, but ended up very swollen and in a lot of pain, at wks now, and just starting to fwb properly but each day is different, some days i can wb some i can't!! had 2 plates and 11 screws, with one central screw in my ankle, it's not so much the bones that are stopping me, but the pain from all the torn tissues!! been told by the pt, any swelling get leg elevated immediately as it impedes healing!!! hope this helps and hope you are ok hun!!! i'm still in a state of shock after hearing about Roy!!! feeling very down about it!!! take care anyway x
2/26 spiral fractured tib and fib, and chipped bones in the ankle NWB
2/27 ORIF (2 plates and 12 screws)
3/16 soft cast removed and 30+ stitches removed, hard cast put on
4/13 hard cast removed, leg brace fitted, fx lines hardly seen allowed to pwb!!
