 Cast cleaning to avoid itch?
Roy McLaughlin    7:03pm Apr 21 2012

Have any of yall tried things like "Sanicast" or "castcooler" for maintaining a cleaner more itch free cast?
Im in plaster up to my groin right now but I'm thinking of starting a regimen of cleaning under the cast with the Sanicast cleaning pads. Would like to try to avoid some of the odor and MOStLY the ITCH I remember and am starting to experience.
When and if I can get switched into a fiberglass cast I would like to also try the castcooler, whihc looks like a sleeve that goes over the cast and hooks to your vacuum to reduce moisture buildup.

Hit and run 4/2, both tibias and fibs broke.
One leg internal fixation, soft cast. Other leg soft then hard cast, no hardware.
