i think we've had very similar injuries. reading your journal and postings has helped me enormously and i have never gotten the impression that you took your BKA lightly.

reading through your journal has helped me understand what i might potentially go through in the future, but i also understand that each person/injury is unique and there is no guarantee that i will face the same decision as you. also, since i do consider you an "old-timer," (and a valued one at that!) i also consider the fact that you managed to hold on so long a real source of hope for me.... if i can wait 15 years with a *@#)@!ed up ankle, there might be some new technology that can help me walk better.

your posts celebrate how much strength and fortitude one person can have. please continue to post, we would lose a great asset if you left.
