Hi Diane!
Good Luck today!
Yes, I'm super fortunate to have a wheelchair. Part of the mixed blessing-hurting it at work. Either that or OS doctors don't give out scripts for wheelchairs unless you ask for them. On the other hand, I think the WC has encouraged me to do too much. I've been to 3 high school football games (my daughter is in the band), the renassaince festival (talk about a bumpy ride!!), shopping for lifes' necessities-twice-and out to dinner once. Last I knew, though, the ankle looked good, but I think I cause myself more pain than I need to. Oh well. At least I'm not going completely crazy!
I'm absolutely certain that I did something to my elbos on my way down that hill-that's the side of my body that I landed on. Going to go back to my family Doc and check it out. I just can't deal with my right elbow and my left ankle hurting all the time!
BTW-does your ankle still hurt all the time?
If you do get a limo-don't forget my good advice. Around here the price ranges from 75 to 125 each way-plus tip (can't forget the drivers'20%). It all depends on how close you are to the airport, and how much limo competition there is in your area. If you get the limo, and have more than a half hour ride home from the airport, pack a ziploc freezer bag and request ice for the return trip . I have a feeling you might need it after a long plane ride!
Take Care,
Annette
