Hi Diane,
Diana_W says that aloe vera GEL is the answer. Check out her diary. She's way ahead of us!!
My next OS appt. is 9/29. If all goes according to schedule, I'll be getting a walking cast. My OS told me 9 weeks in a cast and the last 3 in a walking cast from day 1. I'm not sure I want one. I still can't get anybody to listen to me about my elbow! I tried using my walker for a little while on Sunday, and my right elbow still hurts like crazy. I hate the walker also because it's SO VERY SLOW MOVING!! I'm used to my speedy wheelchair!
I would settle for Kauai anyway I could get it!! Make sure you get a Dr note stating that you have HW in case you set the metal detectors off! I highly recommend hiring a limo service for your airport transportation. When I used to have a life and worked, I drove limo part time. You would have room to stretch out that leg, have help with your baggage, be dropped at the front door, not have to deal with or pay for the parking, your vehicle isn't left at the airport (I know people who have had their cars stolen, broken into, etc). Plus the suspension on most limos is so nice and smooth!! Less bumps along the way to jar the injury and cause you pain. Most people never go back once they hire a limo service to travel to the airport. Check out all companies thoroughly, request the same driver for each way, get the drivers cell # if possible, and take the company phone # with you, if you decide to try it. I'm thinking being able to stretch out on your return trip will be a serious blessing!!
Good luck tomorrow! Take care.
Annette
