Welcome to the "nasty toes" club! Mine are all peely and wrinkly. The skin on the bottom and top of my foot looks icky too. I sometimes take a warm washcloth and just rub, rub, rub. It feels good to get some of the flaky skin off, because I hate leaving dead skin all over the place. My next OS appt. is on Thursday 9/23. I hope I get some news - any news would be good. If he just sends me home and says come back in 2 weeks, I'll scream. By the time I have my appointment, I'll be nearing the 6 week mark. I want to know if I can start any weight bearing at all. I also want to know if my OS can tell if I need to have that skin graft - my ankle still looks disgusting with the black skin. If I need the skin graft, I want to get it over with!! My hubby and I are supposed to go to Kauai for a week (leaving in 3 weeks). My injury has already screwed up one vacation. I already know that I won't be able to walk on the beach or swim in the ocean (I can't even get my ankle wet yet), but I could really use some warm weather and R&R. The airport will be interesting...
