I, too, have a spiral fracture, along with two other fractures, of my left fibula. Mine was inflicted by an out-of-control skier who plowed into me seven weeks ago today. I had a hard cast for four weeks, now have an aircast for four weeks. The swelling has been a major problem -- still cannot put my foot into any sort of shoe. I ma hoping things will get better soon -- at least be able to get around outdoors without crutches or paying the price by nightfall. Will it ever happen?
