I broke my tibia on July 6, 2005 and also had a rod and screws put in. It happened on horseback or rather ofted by a horse I should say. Six months into my recovery I have develoed an infection at the break sit (or close to it). They have debried this four times and of coure anbiotic therapy, however I still have an infection and mushc heat at this site. I have thought about just having the rod removed and starting over again, but after reading you diary I'm not so sure.
I go to a infection specialist next week.
Any input would be appreciated. I am 48 and have never had any health problems.
