I've been reading everybody's entries. I have found this site very helpful since my tibial plateau fracture almost one year ago. I want to thank all of you, because hearing what other people are going through and "comparing notes" has been soooo helpful. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one going through this very long ordeal. I've never met anyone else with a tibial plateau fracture so this is great. This way I can know so much of what I'm going through happens to almost everybody with this injury. I think tibial plateau fractures are one of the worst injuries that can happen to your body. Unfortunately, you're just never the same again. Look at some of these entries with complications showing up 6 years later? I don't want to focus on the negative, I just want to know the real deal so I can be prepared for it. I think sometimes even doctors don't know what's involved when you break your tibial plateau. I guess it's not something you can learn from a book. Unless you've been through it, you really have no idea. Thank you everyone for sharing. I think this is so important. We need to educate ourselves about our condition so we know what to expect, what to avoid, and most importantly, what helps. Thanks everyone, and keep sharing your stories!
