I broke my fibula and dislocated my ankle on Nov.4th 2002 and had surgery a plate 6 screws 1 pin. The i was put in the storm trooper boot brace Dec.2002 I was ordered not to walk from Nov4th til Dec.23,2002 and I finally was able to try and walk Dec.27th 2002. Today I still walk with a limp when i try to wear sneakers and with the storm trooper boot brace I seem to walk normally. My ankle stays stiff and i can feel all the mental in my leg. Tim I hope you have better luck moving your ankle and walking then I because its been along road and it seems like the road only gets longer. I go to physical therapy 3 times aweek to get my ankle to flex more but it only makes the swelling worse and I start to walk worse then before lol Good luck to all that has had any type of break,,
