Sorry about your texting mishap but welcome aboard. I joined this excluisive club the same day as you, but my break is just a broken foot (fifth metatarsal) and I didn't require surgery. I was only in a splint for a little over a day but I much prefer the protection and stability of the cast, but it sure is tight.
