My daughter had the "shocks" as you described. The hospital prescribed some valium for her. It really seemed to work. She had them so bad at first that she couldn't even rest. She needs to have the screws and plate removed next year. Let me know if you get them again after your new surgery. I will at least know what to expect for her. Good Luck!
