Diana, thanks for the info about the "Magnum." Wow! I really like this one a lot! It doesn't look as cozy as the Converse fleece-lined one, but it would keep the snow out better. I like the fact that it has two ways of closing, and offers the option of leaving one shoe looser, because the ties. The zipper would certainly make it a whole lot easier to get on!!! It costs the same as the Converse one. It doesn't look as stiff as my Merrills hiking boots...

I think I'm getting a shoe fetish like you... ;-)
