Hey, I'm glad to find this site as well. I fell on ice taking the dog out 12/05. I also have two children. The first six weeks were better than now. Everyone caters to you. Then the fun begins scooting up stairs. Learning to put weight on your leg and the whole range of motion thing (that's hard). Keep alot of videos and games with you and the kids it helps.
