The boots are getting more comfortable. Almost bearable. I stretch them with my hands before I put them on to loosen them up. The cuff part is the tightest. Try manual manipulation for those Magnums.

I'm walking fairly well today, but not outside. Too much snow and ice. The driveway is a skating rink. I drove my car out to rescue the recycling bins and to get the newspaper.

Scotland!! You're going to walk around with that foot?? Oh wow. I'd be way to chicken to do that yet.

Installing a handheld shower isn't really too difficult. You unscrew the existing showerhead and screw on the one with the hand nozzle. If you can balance safety and reach the showerhead, you should be able to do it yourself. Can your son do it for you?

I remembered something that worked well for me when I quit smoking for 5 years. Sunflower seeds in the shell. Anytime I had the urge, I'd play with the sunflower seeds, crack them, and eat them. Apparently, they have some ingredient that helps suppress the urge. Get the gum too if necessary. Tastes awful, but that's what I use if I have to fly for any extended length of time.
