Annie_L : A Nasty Little Fracture
Diary entry posted Wed 11:35am 23 February 2011

This is how the NHS physio described my TPF and if an Healthcare Professional uses a term like that then you know its not good. She tells she sees 6 of these a year tops and hundreds of broken ankles. Great!
School half term, the first time for 4 years that we haven't been away and it keeps raining. Husband very busy with work so not much opportunity to get out much, although did go for pizza and watched 'Black Swan' last night.
Started having a very hot bath everyday and my knee is now at about 85 degrees which is progress, but so, so painful. Seems to hurt everywhere except where the scar is. I have pain across my knee, down the inside, behind and above it. Working it hard 3-4 times a day and massaging it well. NHS physio doesn't seem to think I have done any damage to it but I have other thoughts. Am trying to tie down husband and son's diaries so I can start to see a new Physio. Really hope that when I see the surgeon next week I will be OK to start FWB. Not sure yet how it will improve my life but it will be progress.
Got to go new car shopping as well and I'd rather do that on 1 crutch than 2.
