Annie : Life's Weird Sense of Humor, Continued
Diary entry posted Wed 1:41pm 28 September 2005

September 28

There are times when you just have to shake your head in wonderment at the ticks and jiggles life throws your way. For those of you following the on-going saga of our kitchen remodel project, today is another one of those ticks and jiggles. I got a call this morning from our draftsman that he was done with our drawings, but that he did not have our snow load/truss calcs and neither did the engineer, so we must have them. NOT!!! We hand delivered them to the new engineer over a week ago. So, after another five phone calls I now know this: the engineer has lost our calcs, the draftsman never had them, and I have talked to the truss company to order new sets, which will take another couple of days to get. We also have noticed problems on the drawings which need to be addressed by the engineer which will take who knows how long. So, we're still waiting for the time we get to actually get to head to the county to pull a permit. All the while, time is ticking away and winter and the snow it brings is looming. It's a good thing I have been blessed with an endless amount of patience as a consequence of this broken leg. Find the humor in all this I keep telling myself. Ha Ha Ha!!!
