You poor thing! Isn't it ridiculous that you have to act a fool to get attention? Why won't they just listen to us when we say it hurts??? That was part of my horrible hospital experience. I was getting 4 mgs of morpine every 3 hours and vicodin every 4 and was still in agony after surgery because the cast was too tight. Finally at 3:30 in the morning I got some attention because at that point I was so frustrated and tired (I'd been up for almost 48 hours except for when in surgery) that I started to quietly cry. but then the nurse that pushed the meds into my iv didn't dilute it and pushed it in REALLY fast. That's bad. My entire arm was in more pain than my leg for an hour or so. It caused me to have phlebitis (inflamed vein), which made crutch walking painful. Sometimes I could hardly bend my elbow.I put up with that for 2 weeks before going to see my family Dr. An antibiotic took care of that. All I can say is: Thank God for wheelchairs. I got mine after 5 days of crutches.

Take Care!
