I was on vacation for about 10 days and read your post about your arthritis diagnosis. I am so very sorry about the diagnosis and can certainly feel your pain. When I was 33, I felt terrible one night - a general malaise. I woke up in incredible pain and thought that I must have a bad case of the flu. I had to roll out of bed and when I stood up, my hip cracked. My children were young then and taking care of them took all of my strength. If I sat down, I fell asleep. It continued two weeks without improvement so I saw a doctor who tested me for lupis and every known arthritis. Because the onset was so sudden, my doctor was afraid that I had rheumatoid arthritis. The blood tests came back positive for arthritis, but negative for all the crippling kinds(thankfully). It took three years to recover from that single attack. I was told that it could happen again to me at any time and to get to the doctor immediately if it does. It has been many years, but I will never forget that pain - especially at night. Once you have been on your meds for awhile, you will feel so much better. If I missed a dose, I suffered. Take good care of yourself and get plenty of rest. After the inflammation period, exercise really helps. Take care. - Sally
