Comment : Understanding your pain
Posted by Natasha on Mon 12:54pm 20 January 2014

Hi Ann,

January 16th made 2 years since I was hit by a cab who ran over my leg and caused a terrible Pilon fracture in my left leg. It wasn't as bad as yours, but it was still pretty awful. I spent 2 weeks in the hospital and had 4 plates and 17 screws shoved onto my badly broken leg and ankle. It was a painful recovery but if you keep the faith and stay positive, it will all be ok. I'm back to wearing monster heels, salsa dancing and sometimes I forget it ever happened. You will be ok and have youth on your side. My life changed for the better and I don't doubt yours will too. I live in New York (where you mentioned you want to be). Keep those dreams alive and don't let this blip in your life bring you down homey! I recently fell in love and plan to move to Amsterdam to be with him and start a new life. Honestly, none of this would have happened without the whole broken leg fiasco. It's part of your beautiful life's journey, even though it sucks to high heaven now.

Good luck to you lady. You will be just fine!!
