I have a break in my left leg fibula just over that nobby part that connects to the ankle. Broke it April 17th. My ankle got twisted when i fell and the bone broke in half. I'm on weak 3 of sitting in a cast. I h8 this I was gonna teach that computer class and spend this spring doing alot of bike riding and i was gonna maybe take classes in sword fighting to give my upper body a work out. I quit smoking ciggarettes in September but i gained a little weight around my belly.. I used to be on the thin side, now I was starting to get chubby around the middle. Anyway, I began doing things like sit ups and much more walking, and small bike trips. Next was going to be longer bike trips and maybe the sword classes. I still want to take the classes and now i have NO IDEA when I'll be able to do that. = I used to play Volleyball alot too. I am quite good at it. I have very quick reflexes and know how to set well, but I still wanted to try something different blah now I can't do EITHER. Stupid thing is - I got this injury from helping a friend move. It was kinda dark and i didn't see the side walk had a bad dent in it and well, my foot got sorta caught in it and my ankle twisted when i fell. REALLY DUMB for someone who is normally coodinated and who never got hurt doing things like playing volleball (with leage players). I feel soooo stupid. I guess the 2 shots of Granadian rum that my friend talked me into drinking didn't help. I RARELY DRINK - I EVEN SAID TO HIM EARLIER THAT DAY THAT I DIDNT WANNA DRINK, BUT the rum was soo nice and you can't get that rum in this country and it was his last bottle - SHIIIIIIIIT IM SUCH AN ASS FOR DRINKING IT AT ALL!
I know what you mean about not being able to do stuff. I hate not being able to carry things, go out, do my own wash etc.. I hope that when the doctor says I can walk on my own that he also means i can carry things like groceries and my laundry too. Do you know if full wieght bearing also means carry stuff too? Doctor says the cast may come off the next time I see him ( about 2 wks from now)and that I might walk with a brace. Is that the same thing as the boot you wear? What is that boot you wear? I am sick of this cast and maybe I should call them and ask them if I could the same boot and maybe see the doctor sooner. At any rate I hope you dont mind that i wrote to you.
